A Linker’s Dream

Once Upon A December

Every Linker has a dream. Every dream deserves to be fulfilled. And every Linker has the potential to reach for their dreams. But not everyone are always given the chance to be closer to their dream. This is the start why Childlink Learning Center annually stage musical plays where every child is developed in the field of Creative Arts specifically the Theatre Arts. It is a good venue to realize every child’s dream.

Molding talents and self-confidence is the aim of conducting the school plays we have. I believe that all of you, Linkers got the edge to achieve your dreams. Whether the field be in singing, dancing, acting, speech or even simply memorizing, each one is prepared to be a holistic learner.

I know many world –famous actors and actresses were discovered in school plays. One is the actor from High School Musical who began his career through plays. He was recognized by a talent scout when he was only twelve years old. During the school play entitled, “Once Upon A December” it was our dear parents, relatives and friends who discovered our real competence and the future that awaits us.

As I grew older and as I presented different plays on stage I discovered changes not only in myself but so with my classmates, schoolmates and teachers. Last February 28, 2009, was beautiful. All worked together in making every presentation awesome. The students were still nervous but better organized and have improved in terms of their talents. The play was smooth and easy for the teachers this time. You cannot imagine the two year old pupils dancing and so serious in their performance. The preschoolers were amazing. The cast was able to perform their roles superbly. It was an effortless performance from them.

So Linkers, give every school play your best shot. Even if you’re only a minor character or just dancing, who knows, the whole word may recognize you sooner or later? To our dear parents, thank you for your support that made our play a successful one. Watch out for CLC’s next exciting play! See you there…
